Accounting Supervisor
Job Summary: The Accounting Supervisor position performs daily accounting activities and oversees the calculation, posting, verifying and entry of accounting transactions for the site. Requires knowledge of accounting principals, general ledger, and office policies and procedures. Relies on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Direct and lead the work of others. Good communication skills and initiative are essential.
Work Schedule: Normal office hours are 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.
Additional hours may be required to complete month end and/or special projects.
Environmental Conditions: Normal office environment with exposure to standard office equipment, computers, copiers, electronics etc. Daily use of computers for data entry and related job functions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Has knowledge of accounting functions at the site and is able to back up any position as required
- Give work direction and planning work
- Interface with corporate on various topics and issues
- Manage work performance
- Manage staff Time & Attendance
- Resolves local accounting issues
- Ensures all accounting positions are covered while employees are out of the office
- Ensures phone coverage for the office employees
- Coordinates and manages document storage
- Maintain office records as required by company accounting and auditing standards
Fundamental Job Functions:
- Input all shipments into the financial system with proper application
- Provide proper documents to customers
- Prepare Bill of Ladings for truckers transporting products, i.e. ethanol, DDG, syrup etc.
- Complete billing and provide proper paperwork for rail car shipments of product, hoppers and tankers
- Handles contracts for Ethanol and DDGS sales
- Investigates problems or inaccuracies in accounting detail as appropriate
- Back up the logistics activity as required for sales of wet cake and syrup
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Basic Computer skills; Microsoft office, outlook, word, excel
- Computer data entry into financial and general ledger software
- Bookkeeping
- Accounts Receivable
- Invoicing
- ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle or JD Edwards)
- Good judgment
- Maturity in managing others
- Confidence with interfacing with other functions in a business

Minimum Qualifications:
- 2yr Associates Degree in Accounting
- 5 years experience in an accounting environment
- 3-5 years supervisory experience

Electrical Instrumentation Technician
Job Summary: The Electrical Instrumentation Technician position is a maintenance crew member assigned to perform maintenance to a medium-sized industrial processing plant which includes areas of expertise in electrical maintenance and installation, instrumentation, controls, PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting. Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in timely manner.
Work Schedule: The position schedule is 7 to 3:30 Monday to Friday. Overtime is required on a regular basis for call-ins, unscheduled downtime and shutdowns.
Environmental Conditions:
- Work in Ambient to Elevated Temperatures on a regular basis
- Process: Chemicals, Acid, Caustics, Oils, and Greases
- Elevated Heights via steps and ladders
Essential Job Functions:
- Working in all areas of the plant:
- Instrumentation and Electrical repair and troubleshooting
- Electrical Repairs: Motors, Motor Starters, Running Conduit and wire pulling
- Troubleshooting and repair of PLC/DCS systems.
- Programming of PLC/DCS systems
- 60-70% of position is conducting electrical repairs and installations.
- Moves, sets, calibrates, as needed, controls such as: knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, on control panels to control process variables such as: flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, and chemicals, by automatic regulation and remote control of processing units such as: heaters, coolers, thermal oxidizer, compressors, exchangers, and other units.
- Determines malfunctioning units by observing control instruments, such as meters and gauges or by automatic warning signals, such as lights and sounding of horns.
- Inspects equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction such as: leaks, breakages and faulty valves. Determines repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Patrols units to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.
- Lubricates equipment
Skills Required:
- Understanding of all plant operational processes and procedures, including routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in the areas of Planning, organizing, interpersonal communications.
- Strong Electrical Experience
- PLC/DCS knowledge
- Knowledge of Hart Communication Systems
- Knowledge of Profibus wiring and com methods
- Knowledge of Device-net
- Ability to read and update electrical prints
- Understanding of discrete and analog systems
- Installs components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications
- Uses electronic, hand, power, and pneumatic tools
- Customizes units and makes adjustments or repairs
- Training others
